Boylan Bottleworks Ginger Ale Review

Boylan Bottleworks Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating: The standard by which all ginger ale is measured, Boylan Bottleworks Ginger Ale currently occupies the #1 spot in our World Rankings List.   Flavor: 5/5 Boylans Ginger Ale flawlessly intertwines a light mainstream flavor with the strength of ginger that gourmet drinkers seek. Casual drinkers will appreciate the similarity to mainstream, traditional flavors. However, true ginger ale connoisseurs will be floored by the brilliant meshing of ginger, lemon-lime and sugary sweetness. Not overly dry or pale; not too sweet. Need I go on?     Drinkability: 5/5 The definition of drinkability, Boylans perfectly balances between the crisp bite that soda drinkers find refreshing and the full-body strength found in gourmet sodas. Perfectly carbonated, a Boylans will last for hours without losing any bubbles or flavor. While most sodas lose their taste as they warm and release carbonation, don’t be surprised when you return to a Boylan’s bottle two hours later and the last drop is still tingly good. Does not have to be ice cold to be enjoyed like lower quality drinks.   Health: 5/5 All Natural. Cane Sugar. Real ginger and lemon oils. No HFCS or preservatives. What more could you ask for? ¬†   Boylan Bottleworks Ginger Ale Availability: Boylans brand is easy to find in nearly all health grocery stores and even most chain grocers on the east coast. Found in many gas stations at the normal rate of about 1-2 dollars, the Worlds #1 Ginger Ale is both widely available and reasonably priced in most regions. Some areas have not caught on yet, but if we have anything to say about it,...
Q Ginger Ale Review

Q Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating: Flavor: 5/5 Q Ginger is one of the more unique ginger ales we’ve sampled. The ginger flavor is full, but not in your face. There is a fabulous mixture of rose and orange flavors which has to be experienced to be believed. There’s a definite heat and spice are present, which lingers after drinking. However, unlike most hot ginger ales, Q Ginger’s spice is never painful or unpleasant. It is perfectly strong, yet gentle. Many agave sweetened sodas are too earthy, or aromatic. But Q Ginger uses agave perfectly with it’s other flavors. The finished product is simply indescribable. Do yourself a flavor and try one of these sodas.     Drinkability: 5/5 Crisp. Light. Fizzy. Full feel without any weight. This is a brilliantly textured soft drink. Q Ginger has been rated our #1 mixer since our most recent Gourmet Soda Showcase and Taste Test. If you keep an upscale bar, you need to look into carrying this drink.   Health: 6/5 Yes, Q Ginger received extra credit. The only Agave sweetened beverage to date that has a perfect flavor rating. No HFCS. Only 120 Calories per 12 ounces (No joke). Zero preservatives. Q Ginger Ale Availability: Moderately available in the NE in Whole Foods and Williams-Sonoma Amazon.com     Brand Information: www.QGinger.com www.QTonic.com...
Fever Tree Ginger Ale Review

Fever Tree Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 5/5 Fever Tree is a wonderful gourmet ginger ale that sports a powerful flavor without the overwhelming heat or spice that ginger can produce in some drinks. A tiny hint of citrus makes it perfect for mixing. Not overly sweet, yet one would not classify it as overly dry. About as close to perfect as you can get.     Drinkability: 5/5 Very Clean. Unreal how such a strong flavor can remain so crisp and refreshing. Not overly carbonated, but still has the intense bite you want from a good mixer. Still very light, even with the strong flavor. Perfect Mixer.   Health: 5/5 100% natural, cane sugar, real ginger, no preservatives.   Availability: Can be found in many Wholes Foods and other health foods grocery stores.     Brand Information: Office Address: Plaza 535, Kings Road, SW10 0SZ. Blenheim #5 Not As Hot Ginger Ale Review

Blenheim #5 Not As Hot Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 5/5 Blenheim Regular Ginger Ale carefully walks the line between flavorful gourmet soda and refreshing mainstream drink. Your first taste of Blenheim will reveal a sweet and refreshing beverage. The ginger flavor is clear and present, but not overwhelming. The aftertaste brings a slight paleness with a hint of heat and spice that is evident in the drink’s name. The heat seems to have a cumulative effect, as it lingers in the drinkers mouth over time. By the end it can be quite spicy.     Drinkability: 5/5 Blenheim’s has a very light and crisp bite to it. Great texture for mixing. Perhaps the best spiced ginger ale for mixing with Whiskey and Bourbons. High carbonation with a bite at the end.   Health: 3/5 Flavored with fructose. Has preservatives. Ginger content is ambiguous. No HFCS.     Blenheim #5 Not as Hot Ginger Ale Availability: Blenheim is bottled in the Carolina’s. Can be found in many gourmet food and health food stores.   Brand Information: Blenheim Bottlers P. 0. Blenheim Old #3 Hot Ginger Ale Review

Blenheim Old #3 Hot Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 5/5 Like other Blenheim Ginger Ale’s, Old #3 carefully combines gourmet flavor with mainstream drinkability. The #3 is sweet, yet pale and tangy. The ginger flavor is clear and present, but not overwhelming. There is a hint of fruitiness in the aroma. Make no mistake, #3 is HOT, with a heat that builds up as you drink the beverage.     Drinkability: 5/5 Blenheim #3 Hot has a light and bubbly texture as most other commercial soft drinks. The overwhelming heat makes this a GREAT mixer for ginger ale and alcohol. Perhaps the best spiced ginger ale for mixing with Whiskey and Bourbons. Well carbonated with a mainstream fizziness, of course without losing its Gourmet Flavor.   Health: 3/5 Flavored with fructose. Has preservatives. Ginger content is ambiguous. No HFCS.     Blenheim Old #3 Hot Ginger Ale Availability: Blenheim is bottled in the Carolina’s. Can be found in many gourmet food and health food stores.   Brand Information: Blenheim Bottlers P. 0. Reed’s Premium Ginger Brew Ginger Ale Review

Reed’s Premium Ginger Brew Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 4/5 Reed’s Premium Ginger Brew is an exotic variety to say the least. It has over 17 grams of fresh ginger, which amounts to a powerful ginger flavor. Unlike most strong ginger ales, this drink does not have a long aftertaste or overly spicy feeling (although there is some heat). It gives off an earthy aroma, with a hint of pineapple and honey as the only sweeteners. Although this drink is not going to replace your everyday ginger ale, it is certainly worth checking out — of the ‘natural-brew’ variety.   Drinkability: 4/5 Not as hearty¬†as other Reed’s drinks. A good combination of exotic gourmet ginger ale, but with a hint of mainstream crispness. Would make a good mixer due to its strength. Still a relatively heavy drink, thick and long lasting carbonation.     Health: 5/5 100% natural. Real honey, fruit juices. Over 10+ grams of fresh ginger. No preservatives. Reed’s Premium Ginger Brew Availability: Available in many grocery stores nationwide.     Brand Information: Reed’s info@reedsgingerbrew.com 800-997-3337 www.reedsinc.com creed@reedsinc.com...
