Blue Sky Organic Ginger Ale Review

Blue Sky Organic Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating: Flavor: 4/5 A well put together gourmet Ginger Ale, the flavor is powerful and complex. One of the spicier gourmets we’ve encountered, Blue Sky packs a punch. A zesty and down right in-your-face ginger flavor stands out. Spicy aftertaste, with an almost golden touch. Very sweet with a bit of dryness underneath the flavor.     Drinkability: 4/5 Blue sky is an interesting contrast. The powerful ginger flavor and aftertaste (normally seen with heavier drinks) is actually combined with a light, effervescent flow. This drink can certainly overpower the flavors of your meal. Great as a mixer if you’re drinking strong liquor. Strong flavor and carbonation will hold up over the course of the beverage. Powerful, not for chugging down with a burger. Needs to be savored.   Health: 4/5 100% All Natural. Organic. 39 grams (a lot) of sugar takes it down to a 4/5.   Blue Sky Organic Ginger Ale Availability: Moderately available in many health grocery stores.     Brand Information: 550 Monica Circle Suite 201 Corona, CA 92880 1-800-426-7367 www.drinkbluesky.com info@drinkbluesky.com...
Gus Extra Dry Ginger Ale Grown Up Sodas Review

Gus Extra Dry Ginger Ale Grown Up Sodas Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 5/5 It is DRY. Extra Dry. And one of the most complex flavors around. Each sip seems different. It’s so dry, the flavor doesn’t really hit you initially. Lingering ginger flavor, with a hint of citrus. Not overly powerful ginger flavor, but it’s there. First taste can be very fruity, but the dryness cuts it as you drink the beverage.   Drinkability: 5/5 Not to be chugged down. Needs to be savored. Probably THE best mixer around. Very light, but too dry to be considered a refreshment drink (not a bad thing at all!).     Health: 6/5 No that’s not a typo. 100% Natural. No preservatives. TWENTY TWO GRAMS OF SUGAR. 22. Just 90 calories in 12 ounces. WOW. Gus Extra Dry Ginger Ale Availability: Can be found in many Wholes Foods and other health foods grocery stores.     Brand Information: Utmost Brands, Inc. 424 East 57th Street Suite 3C New York, NY 10022 Phone: 212-355-7454 – Fax: 212-208-4444 info@drinkgus.com For Press Inquiries: press@drinkgus.com Phone: 212-355-745 www.drinkgus.com...
Dr. Brown’s Ginger Ale Review

Dr. Brown’s Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating: Flavor: 4/5 Dr. Brown’s ‘Extra Dry’ lives up to its name, with a mainstream-like paleness. The flavor has a substantial hint of ginger for a commercial beverage. Not spicy or hot, but has a certain kick to it. With a sharp dryness, Dr Browns is a great choice for mixers. Drinkability: 4/5 Upon opening, this ginger ale sports a sharp, crisp bite. Dr Brown’s has the smooth and heavily carbonated style of most common soft drinks. However, it also has the draw backs that come with common soda’s, going flat rapidly after opening. Does not have to be as ice cold as many other lower quality drinks, thanks to the strong ginger flavor.   Health: 3/5 Some Real ginger. Preservatives and HFCS   Dr Brown’s Ginger Ale Availability: Moderately available in many grocery stores. Based in NY....
Reed’s Extra Ginger Jamaican Brew Review

Reed’s Extra Ginger Jamaican Brew Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 4/5 Much like other Reed’s Ginger Ales, the Extra Ginger is not for the weak. Twenty-six grams of fresh ginger gives it a mighty kick. The drink has a very earthy and fruity appeal. The honey and pineapple are omnipresent, giving you the feeling that your sitting on a beach in Jamaica. Not overly spicy. Health: 5/5 100% natural. Real honey, fruit juices. Over 26+ grams of fresh ginger. No preservatives.   Reed’s Extra Ginger Jamaican Brew Availability: Available in many grocery stores nationwide.   Brand Information: Reed’s info@reedsgingerbrew.com 800-997-3337 www.reedsinc.com creed@reedsinc.com...
Hansen’s Ginger Ale Review

Hansen’s Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 3/5 A golden style ginger ale, Hansen’s has a strong ginger flavor. Unlike many Goldens, it is not overly sweet. The ginger flavor is strong, but not in your face, residing mostly in the aftertaste. There is some slight spice towards the end of each sip. Drinkability: 4/5 Hansen’s has a nice bite to it. Not overly crisp, it has a slight weight to it as well — somewhere in between mainstream sodas and more textured gourmets. It’s strong flavor holds as the carbonation dissipates; a nice full flavor sticks around.   Health: 5/5 All-Natural. Cane Sugar. No preservatives or sodium.   Hansen’s Ginger Ale Availability: Moderately available in most grocery stores.   Brand Information: 550 Monica Circle Suite 201 Corona, CA 92880 1-800-426-7367 www.hansens.com (email)...
Thomas Kemper Ginger Ale Review

Thomas Kemper Ginger Ale Review

GAA Rating:   Flavor: 3/5 With a definitive honey aftertaste, Thomas Kemper is certainly unique. Very Pale and Dry. The Ginger flavor is light, but distinctly fresh. The ginger ale impeccably intertwines a common gourmet feel with the ‘natural brew’ variety. Would never be your ‘go-to’ ginger ale, but does what it wants to do very well.   Drinkability: 4/5 What other “natural ginger brews” strive to be, Thomas Kemper combines a crisper/refreshing texture with the thicker/lower carbonation style of more natural brews. Heavier than mainstreams, but lighter than your average gourmet soda.   Health: 4/5 Cane Sugar. Real Honey. Has preservatives.     Thomas Kemper Ginger Ale Availability: From the midwest, Kentucky area.   Brand Information: Tksoda.com TK Soda Co. PO Box 2868 Portland, OR 97208 503.517.8636...
